The Conservation Award recognizes any individual, group, organization, or agency that has given significant service in conserving cactus and succulent plants.
As of 25 April 2011, 4 Conservation Awards have been conferred by the Cactus and Succulent Society of America (CSSA). The images are arranged by year of award.
2011 Poole, Jackie M. (1950–) USA
Award presented at San Diego, California CSSA Convention “For meritorious efforts to conserve the cacti and other rare plants of Texas.”
2009 Yetman, Dr. David A. (?–) USA
Award presented at Tucson, Arizona CSSA Convention to an “Author, photography, educator, and a man of many talents used to promote conservation, crowned by the Organ Pipe Forest preserve of Southern Sonora, Mexico.”
2006 British Cactus and Succulent Society
Award presented at Leicestershire, UK BCSS Convention “In recognition for promoting the preservation of succulent plant habitats.”
2005 Tucson Cactus and Succulent Society
Award presented at Scottsdale, Arizona CSSA Convention “For donating time and resources garnered from their plant rescue program toward education on conserving cactus and succulent plants and the habitat in which they live.”
